Jack and Jill Playgroup

DAILY TIMETABLE

 

9:00am       
  Children arrive and self-register, hanging up coats and bags on their named pegs. All staff welcome children and they are encouraged to settle directly to activities.
   
9:15am to 11:45am  
  Children choose supported or free play areas of learning. They have the use of both playrooms/outdoor areas to access all activities during the morning. See daily planning of activities displayed on parent board. Key persons work with children extending learning opportunities, observing and assessing while children while they play.
   
9:30am to 10:30am        
  Healthy choices breakfast available (sample menu displayed).
   
11:45am to 12:00 noon  
  Circle time. Songs, stories, music and dance. Children`s work gathered to take home.
Children staying for afternoon session are taken into lunch club.
   
12:30 noon

12:45 pm to 2:45pm  
 

Children choose supported or free play areas of learning. Indoor and outdoor activities.  Children have use of both playrooms/outdoor areas to access all activities during the afternoon. See daily planning of activities displayed on parent board. Key persons work with children extending learning opportunities, observing and assessing.

   
2:00pm to 3:00pm  
  Health choices snack available (sample menu displayed).
   
3:15pm to 3:30pm  
 

Circle time. Songs, stories, music and dance. Childrens work gathered to take home. 

   

THEY CAN DO IT THEMSELVES!

Throughout the day your children are encouraged to be self-sufficient with

Independent self-care, toileting, cleaning their own hands and faces, dressing,

 Choosing when to have breakfast and snack, tidying away toys and

equipment etc. The  staff are there to be to reinforce the good practice of washing hands regularly and after toileting, reminders for the toilet and to support children that need more help.
